The Jubilate Vocal Ensemble Kicks off their
15th Anniversary Season with a
"SPIRITUAL JOURNEY"

Featuring the music of Bobby McFerrin, Sweet Honey in the Rock & Moses Hogan

Miami, Fl---- The Jubilate Vocal Ensemble will kick off their 15 th Anniversary season at the historical Miami Beach Community Church, 1620 Drexel Avenue (corner of Lincoln Road and Drexel), 7 PM, Saturday, March 10.

Under the direction of their founder, Dr. Nelson Hall, the ensemble will embark on a "Spiritual Journey," an exciting- "fresh" repertoire, featuring the music of Bobby McFerrin, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Byron Smith and Moses Hogan.

The program reaffirms Jubialte's commitment to the traditional Spirituals art form while taking on the vocal jazzy and more contemporary flavors offered by some of today's greatest writers and arrangers.

The concert will also be the last time to hear Palmetto Bay resident, Josef Spencer, one of South Florida's most "exciting" tenors, before he travels to Savannah, Georgia where he was selected to participate in the prestigious 2007 American Traditions Competition.

Jubilate is one of Florida's most respected vocal groups in the choral and a cappella music scene - a premiere multi cultural ensemble; Jubilate has been together since 1992.

Their musical "journeys" include national and international touring; performances with award winning artists from Bobby McFerrin to the Three Tenors and Andre Crouch to Richard Smallwood.

Miami Dade County's Department of Cultural Affairs, The Keith and Reneta Ward Family Foundation and the Carl and Toni Randolph Family Foundation are sponsoring the concert.

There is no admission and a free will offering will be taken.
